Do You Think This Is A Good Woodworking Joint?

I really dislike cutting dados. So much so I had nightmares about an upcoming project that led to a new idea for a woodworking joint. The Pocket-Dowel-Butt or PDB short (still working on the name). In this video, I try it out and explain the thought process that led me to it.

I’m still unsure if it’s a viable option in the shop or not so feel free to let me know what you think in the comments!
